Hello Everyone!
We hope you have been enjoying the beautiful weather!
Remember being happy and healthy at this time is the most important thing! regular exercise, fun in the garden, helping to wash the car, baking are all really good ways you can keep busy! Also https://www.elsa-support.co.uk/another-14-day-home-learning-challenge/ here is a 14 day challenge to help you keep happy at this really funny time!
New games and champions challenges have been put on Abacus so have a play – usernames and passwords are in your reading diaries and the school code is spkc. Alongside abacus you can have fun counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s, you could use coins, pairs of socks, gloves or find your own resources in your garden or on a nature walk.
Phonics Play is still free on their website so you can access all the games. If you’re feeling silly you could write some nonsense words for a family member to read using the diagraphs and phonemes you know.
In science we will be looking at materials (we did start this before we were off) think about how you can describe different materials, are they soft? Rigid? Flexible? Bumpy? Which materials float? Is this material waterproof? Is this material natural or manmade? You could look around your house for things made of wood, plastic, glass, clay, metal, stone, fabric and cardboard.
We will be looking at castles in the next half term. Think bout if you have ever been to castle. Can you name the different parts of a castle? Who might live in a castle. What would you do if you were King or Queen for the day? If you are feeling creative you could make your own castle.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
