Home Learning- 16.10.20-Class 4

Good morning everyone!

We hope Home Learning is going well! We are proud of all your efforts so keep up with the fantastic work.

Think back to our ‘Here We Are’ work.

Can you draw what you are most looking forward to once we can

venture back out into the world?

Every afternoon, the work for the next day will be posted. All blog posts will be titled with the date that work is set for.

Phonics:

Today we will learn to read words with ai phoneme, can you spot any objects around your house containing the ai phoneme. Why don’t you try to write them.

Literacy:

Can you listen to the story below:

Once you have listened to the story, can you use the picture to list some adjectives for the dragon to describe him.

We have attached the document just in case you would like to print it off.

Maths:

How many different ways can you make ten? Look at my example to help you.

If you’d like to keep practising your bonds to ten there is a link to a game you could play below:

Guided Reading:

Listen to the story from this morning, and discuss the questions with someone at home.

Foundation:

During October, it is Black History month, as part of this learning in year 1 the children are learning all about Mary Seacole. We have attached a link below for you with a video all about Mary Seacole. After watching the video, see if you can make a poster to tell others about Mary Seacole. I’m sure all the other year groups would love to see your information posters. If your parents could e-mail them to our year group e-mail, we could share them when you are back in school.
