Home Learning – Class 4 – 19.10.20

Good morning Class 4,

I hope you all managed to have to relax over the weekend. I’m looking forward to seeing all of your fabulous efforts again this week!

Every afternoon, the work for the next day will be posted. All blog posts will be titled with the date that work is set for.

Phonics:

Can you practise recalling your phase 3 and phase 5 sounds?

I have attached the link to some games to help you do this. To login to Phonics Play please use the details provided by Phonics Play for free access.

I have added a picture of the games I would like you to try below.

Literacy:

In literacy I would like you to use all of your fantastic knowledge of adjectives from Friday to create sentences describing the dragon.

Just in case you would like some adjectives to help you there is an adjective word bank below. I can’t wait to read some of your sentences.

Maths:

Today, we are learning how to add 3 single digit numbers together using a number line.

Guided Reading:

Today in guided reading, I would like you to retell the story ‘There is no dragon in this story’.  Think about what the main events are. You can draw each one and then add a sentence to explain what is happening in each event.

Foundation:

Today I would like you to continue your learning in geography about the United Kingdom. I have attached a link below for you to watch a video explaining the capital cities of the countries in the United Kingdom and the landmarks and features of the United Kingdom. Once you have watched it you could create a poster explaining everything you have learnt.
